HPV
A virus (human papillomavirus). Some types of HPV cause genital warts, others cause cervical cancer (in women) or testicular cancer (in men). Teenage girls and boys can be given a vaccine before they start to be sexually active to prevent infection with HPV later. HPV is a sexually transmitted infection (STI).
