IUD
There are two types of IUDs: the hormonal IUD and the copper IUD. The hormonal IUD contains a hormone; the copper IUD contains copper. Both IUDs prevent pregnancy. An IUD is a small object that a gynaecologist inserts into the uterus. It can remain in the uterus for three to five years. After this time, it must be replaced.
